OBJECTIVES

  1. To acquire the right skills in Higher Education, that is relevant to each working environment for smooth functioning of the institution through individual contribution.
  2. To fine tune the teaching, technological, research and administrative skills, in order to equip individuals to meet to the demand of the Higher Education ecosystem and therefore uplift the quality of their institution.
  3. To create an understanding on the personality development for a pleasant working environment.
  4. To enhance knowledge on the latest development in specific subjects.

About Us

The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, was established in October, 2006, to cater to the need for Professional excellence in Higher Education. To accomplish the goals for Professional Growth and Development, different programmes such as Faculty Development Programme (Guru Dakshata), Refresher Courses, Short Term Courses and workshops are carried out targeting the Teaching fraternity, Librarians, Physical Educators, Academic Administrators, Non-teaching Staff and Research Scholars.

The Centre has received wide recognition in the entire country being ranked 3rd among the 66 HRDCs, through NAAC assessment and accreditation. Its strategic location in the North-East Region (NER) of India, has attracted huge participation of target audience from states of NER, apart from its catchment area i.e., the state of Meghalaya.
